Alright guys, no weekly recap today because I spent the majority of my time at home with my dog – she’s been sick so I’ve been tending to her pretty much 24/7. BUT there’s good news – I’m sharing 5 must-try beauty products under $12 instead so that’s exciting! As you know, I’m all about being sensible, but I’m not afraid to splurge if I think it’s worth the money. Luckily, today’s featured products are all super affordable! Sooo, let’s kick things off with…*drum roll, please*
1. Kleenex Moist Facial Cleansing Wipes ($11.82): Guys, I am OBSESSED with these wipes. They work beautifully with all skin types, and they’re large and durable, like you can clean your entire face without worrying about any wear and tear. I also really love the packaging – it looks sleek and keeps your product nice and moist. I’ve had bad experiences in the past with sticky seals – they dried out at LEAST a third of my wipes [insert sad face here]. And for those of you wondering, these are dermatologist-tested, but I can also tell you from first hand experience that it works great for people with sensitive skin. This contains 25 sheets and costs about $12 – refills are much cheaper though so remember to save your case!
2. L’Oréal Paris Pure Sugar Scrub ($9.25): I got to try all three (as pictured below) courtesy of L’Oréal, and I can’t even begin to tell you guys how much I love these scrubs. As you can see, there are three different kinds: grapeseed, kiwi, and cocoa. Grapeseed smoothes away dullness, kiwi unclogs pores, and cocoa nourishes dryness. All three work beautifully, but my favorite is definitely the kiwi. It smells like magic and works wonders for my face.
Gently – and I mean GENTLY – massage a dime-sized amount onto your skin before rinsing with warm water. I use my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th fingers and move in circular motions. Avoid your eye area because it’s extremely sensitive, and you’ll most likely do more harm than good. You can, however, use this as a lip scrub.
This new line’s made with 3 pure sugars (brown, blonde and white) – hence the name! On top of that, it contains real kiwi seeds, which I think is really cool. St. Ives’ Apricot Scrub used to be my go-to, but this has officially replaced that product. The sugar eventually melts so you don’t have to worry about going overboard on the exfoliation. Available for $9 on Amazon for those of you interested!
3. e.l.f. Cosmetics Metallic Lip Crayon ($4): It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of e.l.f. I mean, I wrote about my top 5 fave e.l.f. products here a while back and even reviewed their skincare line! Well, I recently discovered their matte metallic lip crayons, and it’s been a done deal ever since. I own 2 out of the 3 colors available, andddd not gonna lie, I’m probably going to buy the 3rd one REAL soon. I’ve used Radiant Rouge and Magnetic Mauve and love both. They’re SUPER moisturizing and go on like butter thanks to their magical formula – it’s enriched with vitamin E so these lippies will seriously nourish your pucker. Scroll down for swatches.
4-5. Bodycology Body Cream & Body Wash ($1.98 each): I don’t know if you guys are familiar with this brand, but I just discovered them and I’m officially hooked for life. As you can see, their products are shockingly affordable. I haven’t tried any of their other scents yet, but I honestly don’t feel like I need to because I love “truly yours” SO much. It’s very feminine – if you like flowery scents, this is a must-try.
The body wash is really luxe – it lathers beautifully, and you’ll smell like an angel afterwards. Their body butter isn’t as rich as my usual go-to (Bliss Body Butter), but it’s just as effective in terms of hydration, and like the body wash mentioned above, it smells amazing. It just takes a bit longer to massage it all in – it’s a great alternative if you don’t want to spend $29 on lotion.
