Who’s excited to see more from my latest collaboration with Sandross and Val? If you missed my last post, here’s a quick recap for you guys. Sandross Alim is one of my favorite photographers, and Valerie Hammer’s easily THE most amazing makeup artist I know.
We’ve been talking about collaborating for a while so we decided to finally make it happen a few weeks back. To see part 1 of our project, click here!
For today’s post, I’m wearing a gorgeous floral dress courtesy of Adrianna Papell. This number has a v-neckline with dolman sleeves and a pleated bodice. The long skirt has a sexy (but elegant) thigh-high slit, and it’s made of 100% polyester.
This piece transitions beautifully from day to night and is great for any and every occasion. Want to look cute for brunch? For your friend’s wedding? For date night? They gotchu. Two things to keep in mind: this is dry clean only, and it has VERY little stretch so make sure you double check your measurements before ordering.
For those of you interested in getting this dress, it’s currently on sale for 30% off (originally $249, now $174). It’s not the most slimming dress per se, but it’s really comfortable, and the length’s perfect with heels (I’m 5’5″). I paired it with strappy gold heels and accessorized with my favorite layered necklace from Starfish Project to complete said look.
I’m not sure if you’re familiar with Adrianna Papell, but this was my first time getting one of their dresses. Full disclosure, they sent me a skirt a while back – Jan Galvan and I shot it together so stay tuned – which I LOVED, but I don’t like this as much. It’s a solid dress, but I feel like it’s a little overpriced for what it is if I’m being totally honest.
They offer all kinds of dresses – everything from special occasion pieces to wedding gowns – so take a look to see if anything tickles your fancy. If you need help picking anything out, I’m more than happy to give you my input so feel free to reach out.
Alright friends, that’s a wrap for today! I hope you enjoyed part 2 of my latest collaboration with Sandross and Valerie. For more formalwear, click here, and make sure to check back Monday for my Richmond travel guide. Until next time, friends!
