For those of you looking for a special occasion dress, you’re welcome in advance. A few weeks back, I shared another fancy find, but I’m posting a different style today just in case that wasn’t your cup of tea. If you missed it and wanna see, click here – it’s actually one of the coolest shoots I’ve modeled for so definitely make sure to check it out if you haven’t yet.
Red Dress Boutique calls this their gorgeous gal maxi, and I gotta say, the name’s fitting because it’s hard not to feel beautiful while wearing this. In my opinion, it’s one of those pieces that will forever be stylish. It’s classic yet sexy with its plunging neckline, open back, and mesh skirt. I also love the inner slits, which you can see pictured below on the left.
This gown, made of 100% polyester, has adjustable spaghetti straps that criss cross in the back, which is great because it helps everyone get their ideal fit. I’m wearing a size small, and it fits beautifully. The only thing that’s an issue for me is the length. Even with platform heels, the bottom drags so I’m planning on taking this to the tailor once things quiet down in the world.
Unsure how to style it? If it’s a formal affair, wear it sans outerwear with sky high heels and a dainty layered necklace. Personally, I’ve been much more into subtle accessories as of late, but this could look awesome with bold baubles as well. Experiment with statement earrings or an extravagant necklace and see how you feel! It all depends on the kind of vibe you’re going for so go wild.
Want to dress it down for an everyday look? Try wearing it with a distressed denim jacket and Doc Martens or sneakers. A fitted moto jacket would look cool as well! I’ll make sure to throw together a casual OOTD featuring this dress so you guys can see what I mean. I actually really enjoy pairing contrasting pieces together because the dichotomy’s interesting.
