For those of you looking to enjoy some R&R, you’re definitely going to want to bookmark today’s post. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Canopy Bethesda North, and I had such a fantastic time!
A change of scenery really does do wonders, even if it’s just for a day or two. And I absolutely love Canopy – I stay at their Philly property fairly often, and it’s always such a great experience.
They’re currently offering a Winter Wellness package, and it’s a must if you want to blow off some steam. Before we get into room deets though, I’d love to tell you more about what’s included.
In addition to overnight accommodations, you get an in-room happy light to energize you, CBD infused teas to relax you, and 20% off whatever treatment you decide to get at Privai Spa & Salon. Said spa’s connected to Canopy so it’s super convenient, and they offer everything from hydrafacials to deep tissue massages.
As for the room itself, I stayed in a premium King bed room with a gorgeous city view. It’s a 332-square-foot space featuring original art from local creators along with a chaise lounge, Aptiva bath products, a Nespresso coffee maker, and black-out curtains.
The bed’s ridiculously comfortable! It has a gel memory foam pad with 300 thread-count sheets, and you’ll wake up fully rested. And as you know, I’m a proud dog mama, but my mom’s currently watching my floof for me. Otherwise, she would’ve absolutely made an appearance since Canopy’s pet-friendly.
As for food and drink (arguably the most important), their on-site food options are currently suspended, but that’s not an issue even in the slightest since they’re located in Pike & Rose.
There are tons of options to choose from in the area – I recommend Littler Miner, Kyoto Matcha, and Julii – but if you don’t mind driving a little, I recommend exploring the food scene because Bethesda/Rockville is a mecca for Asian food.
For dinner that evening, I went to the new Lao Sze Chuan and enjoyed everything from peking duck to mapo tofu. The space itself is stunning, and I highly recommend checking them out! I also went to A&J during my staycation at Canopy. They specialize in Northern style dim sum, and the food’s absolutely insane. Must tries include their beef noodle soup, pan fried dumplings and peking beef roll.
Alright friends, I hope you enjoyed my latest recap! Let me know if you have any questions, and stay tuned for more content coming your way. Jan Galvan, one of my favorite photographers of all time, actually came to shoot me in my room + around Canopy so I’ll be posting that as soon as I get edited imagery back from him. SO excited! Talk soon, friends.
