It’s time for another haul post, friends! I recently got a bunch of new stuffs delivered so I’m excited to review everything for y’all. Not gonna lie, this month had more duds than dos, but that’s not unusual when you’re shopping online. I typically love everything I get from Red Dress, but for some reason, things didn’t work out as well this time ’round. Let’s kick off today’s post with a printed mini…
1. Touch of Kindness Black Multi Print Dress ($68)
This was definitely one of the better pieces of the bunch, but I found it to be too pricy for what it was. The print’s striking, and the color scheme’s nice (especially since it transitions well into Fall), but I wasn’t crazy about the fabric. I also didn’t love the ruffled hem. There was too much volume, and I didn’t find it to be flattering. The mini looked awesome on my mom though so I gave it to her so to each their own.
2. Best Date Yet Black Romper Dress ($52)
This was probably the biggest disappointment from today’s haul because I was SO looking forward to wearing this. I’m a HUGE fan of romper dresses so I had high hopes for this one, but the design just wasn’t working with my body. I think empire waists are cute, but the ruffle was just a little too high?
It wasn’t comfortable, and it looked strange on my chest. This would’ve been a home run if it highlighted the small of my waist instead, but you win some and you lose some. Maybe this will look better on your figure? Everyone’s body is different so it’s worth a try! I liked everything else about the dress, and it’d look super cute with over-the-knee boots.
3. Effortless Edge Black Vegan Leather Skirt ($42)
This skirt’s very chic, but unfortunately, it didn’t fit my body right. Notice a theme in today’s review? Super sad because again, I loved the design. It was loose around my waist and wayyyyy too tight around my butt.
It’s made of a lovely vegan leather though, and the slit’s classy yet sexy – great for work but also for play. For those of you interested, it’s made of a polyester/polyurethane blend and is dry clean only.
4. Wondering Heart Camel Colorblock Cardigan ($56)
FINALLY, a piece I can recommend to you guys. It’s a bit expensive at $56, but the fabric’s nice and soft, and the colors are perfect for fall. Plus, who doesn’t love some good ol’ fashioned color blocking? I got a size small, and it fits me beautifully, but heads up, it IS oversized in case that’s not your jam.
5. Smitten With You Rust Multi Stripe Cardigan ($54)
Andddd last but not least, another fabulous cardi option. This cozy number has an open front with quarter sleeves, fringe knot embellishments, and a matching belt. It’s a bit thicker than the aforementioned option, but I’m very much into chunky knits so it’s a do in my book.
SO, 2/5 – not terrible but not great! Sorry I didn’t have more recommendations for you guys, but like I mentioned, everything varies depending on body type so if there’s something you wanna try, don’t be afraid to give it a go. Alright friends, that’s a wrap for today, but I have a TON of content coming your way so make sure you check back soon. Sending e-hugs your way.
