You guys have no idea how excited I am to tell you about FitVine. Not gonna lie, I was a little skeptical when I first learned about them, but it was honestly love at first sip. Think delicious vino…but with less sugar, fewer carbs, and fewer calories.
They wanted to craft a wine that fit the active, healthy lifestyle of their friends and family so they came up with a full-flavored non-GMO and gluten-free line that was also keto, paleo, and vegan friendly. Damn, that was a mouthful, but it’s impressive, right?
If you’re wondering how they create such great tasting wine with less sugar, it’s through their proprietary process. They ferment to dry which allows them to lower sugar levels without lowering alcohol. Their unique process also lets them extract more tannins, and they don’t use flavor additives of any sort, taking out all the stuff you don’t need or want in your vino.
On average, their wine contains less than 0.09 grams of sugar per glass, and it’s shockingly tasty like I can’t get enough of their Cabernet Sauvignon. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I absolutely love red wine. You also know that I’m a stickler when it comes to discipline, and I’ve been dieting and working out hardcore as of late. I was planning on eliminating alcohol completely, but now I don’t have to.
So far, I’ve tried their Cabernet Sauvignon and their Rosé. The former has notes of lavender, currants, and oak, while the latter tastes like summer. If you’re looking for something light and refreshing, the Rosé is an absolute must try. It’s perfect for a hot day and pairs well with light salads, pasta, and seafood.
Their Cabernet’s full-bodied, beautiful and robust. It’s everything you want from a cab minus the calories, sugars, and carbs. If someone had poured this for me without saying anything, I honestly wouldn’t have known that it was a low-cal wine. Enjoy it with some charcuterie while relaxing outside for max R&R.
They have over 10 wines available for purchase so definitely make sure to give ’em all a try. I have my eye on their Syrah so I’ll probably get that next, but their Prosecco’s calling my name as well so who knows! For those of you interested, you can purchase FitVine products at Publix, Walmart, and Whole Foods. They’re also available online here, and they’re currently offering 10% off if you sign up for their mailing list.
