Thanks to one of my favorite people of all time – I’m looking at you @bmorefood – I got to experience the goodness that is Five Iron Golf. Louie got a great group of people together last week, and we had a blast eating, drinking and playing games. Located in Harbor East, Five Iron Golf’s fairly new to the area.
If I’m being completely honest, I’m actually not a huge fan of the sport. I play from time to time with my dad because he loves it, but is it something I would voluntarily to do in my spare time? Eh. Suffice it to say, I wasn’t sure of I’d have fun, but I loved the experience. Don’t let the name fool you. Yes, they’re known for their golf simulators, but they also have a ton of other games like zombie dodgeball, soccer, football, etc. There’s also a pool and ping pong table on site!
It costs about $35-50 an hour depending on the day and time so it’s affordable, especially if you’re going with a group of friends. They have a fully stocked bar with nom food options available with everything from crab dip to loaded nachos to fried macaroni balls.
The games were surprisingly hard by the way. I made the mistake of wearing huge thigh high boots with 3 inch heels, and I paid the price. You’d think zombie dodgeball would be easy, but it took me a lot of effort to even take out a few. I was very disappointed in myself – that’s my competitive spirit kicking in – but it’s ok. I’ll just have to go back and practice, ha.
Expect more “adventure” content moving forward. Baltimore’s severely underrated IMO so I’ll be featuring Charm City more often. I spend a lot of time in DC, and although I love, love, love the district, I want to feature VA and MD more so keep an eye out – I have my eye on plant workshops, axe throwing and more so stay tuned. Until next time, friends! Carpe diem.
Awesome post.
Sounds fun! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
