If you love skincare as much as I do, you’re in for a serious treat. With 3 locations in the DMV area, GLO 30 is a must for locals like me. Although I haven’t had a chance to go in for a facial yet, I definitely plan to do so in the future.
With that said, they have a slew of their own beauty products available online, and that’s what we’re going to discuss today. So far, I’ve discovered two must-haves that I can’t recommend enough.
Glo On The Go: Your Perfect At-Home Facial
This monthly subscription is absolutely amazing, and it’s great for those of you looking to keep your skin healthy and radiant without breaking the bank! It’s $30 a month, and it’s an all-inclusive at-home facial that’s personally curated by GLO founder, Dr. Arleen Lamba.
She takes environmental, lifestyle and seasonal factors into consideration when creating each kit, and they come with everything from masks to peels to special tools, you name it. They included a mini facial cup in September’s, which was really cool, and the goal of this month is to protect, hydrate and nourish.
So, let me give you the lowdown on the October edition of Glo on the Go. There are 6 steps total, and you start with a warm up. Wet your skin and lather up with a delightful lavender and seaweed infused cleanser. Pat your face dry before moving onto what Dr. Lamba calls “active #1.”
Apply a thin layer of their pecan & coconut milk polish scrub and gently rinse in circular motions. This particular product is a GLO30 exclusive, and it’s full of skin-healthy ingredients like zinc, folate, vitamins E, and more. Pecan oil is especially beneficial because it rehydrates and plumps to soften wrinkles!
Next comes “stretch.” Massage the included apple seed facial oil into your skin in an upward diagonal motion, and give it time to really sink into your face before tackling “active #2.” Apply a thin layer of the pumpkin puree exfoliation mask and leave it on for about 2 minutes before wiping it off with a cool towel. This may tingle so don’t be alarmed!
Then comes my favorite part: the cool down. Unfold and apply the included coconut milk sheet mask and relax for 10-15 minutes. This month’s kit comes with a bonus body cream so massage that into your hands and décolleté while you wait. After your time’s up, remove it and pat any leftover serum into your face!
And last but not least, apply a thin layer of Pyukang Yul balancing gel onto your skin before calling it a day. Now, $30 for all this is awesome enough, but you’ll be able to get 2-4 uses out of a handful of different products included so you’re getting even more bang for your buck. Glo Pack: The Best Sheet Mask I’ve Ever Tried
I am completely and utterly obsessed with Glo Pack, like I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this 3-step system. In fact, I recently gave one to my mom, and I even got HER hooked, which is a big deal because she’s really, and I mean REALLY into skincare. She’s very picky about beauty products, but she asked me where she could order some more soooo there ya go.
You can get a 10-pack here for $50 online! I know that seems pricy, but $5 for something that will undoubtedly change your skin for the better? Totally worth the investment. And $5 isn’t really that much if you think about it since you’re not using this every day. I recommend once or twice a week max! Step 1’s an aloe cleanser that will purify your skin, leaving it squeaky clean for step 2.
Then comes their essence – this brightens and smoothes one’s face, while giving it the collagen boost it needs! And then finally, you have the GLO sheet mask. Made with snail serum, hyaluronic acid and bearberry extract, this is unbelievably effective, like your skin will look amazing the second you take this baby off. Trust me, I’ve tried a lot of sheet masks in my day, and this is easily one of the best I’ve ever used. Really. If you’re looking to hydrate, this will get the job done.
Alright friends, I hope you enjoyed my latest beauty post – a big thank you to the wonderful Sung Shin for the photography! I’ll be trying other GLO30 products soon so expect to see more, and again, don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. For more on skincare, click here! Sending you guys big hugs.
