Alright guys, today’s post is going to be lengthier than usual – well, all my posts have been longer in general as of late – but I hope you find it to be helpful. A lot of people ask me about Asian clothing companies so I thought I’d talk about Chicwish today, since that’s one of the main brands you guys message me about. I’ve been collaborating with them for quite some time (product in exchange for posts) because they’ve been really great. I’m not one to post about something just because I got it for free, and I would never endorse something I wouldn’t buy myself. They have cute stuff, and they’ve always respected my integrity – hence my decision to continue working with them.
I’m ALWAYS honest with you all, and that will never change, which brings me to today’s post. I’ll be reviewing three different dresses for you guys in my latest. Continue reading to see if my new dresses are worth the splurge! And if one looks familiar, it’s because I featured it on my instagram here a while back, lol.
So, dress #1 is a feminine LWD. I call it a two piece because it comes with a lace overlay + white bodycon slip. It’s adorable, but the outer layer was a bit too baggy for me. You could definitely belt it to accentuate your waist, but on the other hand, it was comfortable to wear as is. The slip had a tendency to ride up a bit, but that could just be me. It’s currently priced at $59.90 for those of you interested.
Dress #2, currently priced at $69.90, was actually my favorite style out of the three, but Robby thought I looked like a pilgram. Good thing my opinion means more than his, HAHA! In all seriousness though, this dress – made of 100% cotton – had a cool vintage vibe to it with cool deets. The deep v-neck cut was sexy yet subtle, and the bowknot sleeves were super cute! I also really liked the buttons running down the center.

All 3 pieces were indeed cute, BUT I’d hold off on purchasing for the time being because I think Chicwish will discount them further in the near future. Everything’s still too pricy, at least for me, so just be patient. Bookmark the designs you like and check back every so often so you can cop them while they’re on sale. Yes, it requires a certain level of diligence, but hey, that’s how you get good deals! Also, I’m really sorry I styled everything with the same bag and shoes – I was traveling so I didn’t have many choices because I tend to pack light.
And to answer the question above, Chicwish clothing is indeed legit. They’re not designer quality, but they’re comparable to H&M and Banana Republic Factory. If you have any questions at all about their clothing, please don’t hesitate to ask. It may take me a few days to sift through all my emails, but I will always get back to you. For more casual outfit inspo or “find of the day” posts, click on their respective tabs. Until next time, friends! Sending much love.
Wow, extremely cute dress!

Oh geez! I’m so sorry to hear that. I have no idea – have you tried dm-ing them on instagram? Was there no contact information on the site?
Is the quality like ASOS ? Im looking for a dress to attend a wedding in the Caribbean. Are they a good choice?

Some pieces are! It’s really tough because like all places, they can be hit or miss. I like A LOT of the clothes I get from Chicwish, but if you want peace of mind, ASOS is probably better since they have such a great return policy. Hope that helps!
I find their quality on the poorer side. Even if the material is a natural one like cotton, it’s cheap cotton. It is thin, flimsy, doesn’t sit well and will shrink in one wash to a half. Also many a times I find some pieces are ripped off from runways. It also raises an ethical question…

Hm, that’s interesting to hear! I’ve never had issues with their clothing, but I believe you. I’m sorry your experience wasn’t great! =/
How long does it usually take for you to receive your items? I purchased on April 30th and Iβm really hoping to get it in by May 18th before my trip! I love their style and I believe that they are of good quality, but itβs my first time ordering and Iβm concerned about delays or long shipments :/
Author
Hm, I’m not really sure! Have you tried reaching out to their customer service?
Hi! You look amazing in all of these – I was just wondering, how long did they take to ship?
Author
Thank you! I’m actually not too sure, but if you want you can get your packages expedited =)

Hi Kim! Great website! π
What Asian clothing companies would you recommend that are designer quality?
Thank you
Author
Hi Megan! Thanks so much for checking out my website. How high end are you talking about? In terms of designer quality? =)
Medium? Comparable to Ted Baker quality π Thank you!
Would Ted Baker be considered designer quality?
Author
Def on the higher end I’d say! Sorry for the late response, I just saw this! Let me get back to you. Did you want an Asian equivalent of something like Revolve? Or were you looking famous individual designers?
I just thought there might be some asian companies making high quality clothing at better prices! Thanks again.

I’ll do some research at get back to you! From my experience, Korean clothing actually tends to be pretty expensive. I know some really like Shein, but I haven’t always had the best experience with them, and I don’t think their quality is necessarily amazing. Have you ordered from them?
I haven’t tried them! I’ll check them out. And any other suggestions much appreciated. π Thanks again!

Of course! Where do you usually like to shop online if you don’t mind me asking?
I usually buy most of clothes online through Melanie Lyne. I know my size with them, and so I tend to go back to them. I am also looking for clothes for work!
The most important question before considering buying any fast fashion. Is it ethical? Where does the product start? Are the human beings that make this being treated well and paid fairly? Do you know this information please. This is so important before promoting any kind of fashion, particularly in this day and age.
Thank you
