I know we’re well into August, but things have been surprisingly busy which is why I posted this so late. I used to do monthly roundups like this consistently, but I took a step back because they were so time-consuming. I’ve been trying to be more efficient, but there’s only so much I can do each day.
With that said, I love blogging about skincare and makeup so I’ve decided to start this series back up again. So, to kick things off I’ll be telling you guys about 4 new (new for me at least) products I currently love.
Pure Planet Club’s Organic Lip Balm
Soft lips are an absolute must for me, which is why I always have chapstick on hand. I just started using their lippies a few weeks ago, and I’m completely sold.Their chemical-free products are 100% natural and made from nourishing ingredients like shea butter, beeswax, sunflower oil and more. They’re USDA certified organic, cruelty-free, and their packaging’s made from uncoated PCW paper that can be recycled or added to your compost so they’re environmentally friendly as well.
They offer four different balms (natural, mint, raspberry and vanilla) on their website, and they come in packs of 3. They’re $30 per set so they don’t come cheap, but you’re paying for quality and supporting a respectable company so I believe it’s worth the splurge. Let me know if you have any questions, friends!
Lee Stafford’s Vegan Friendly Hair Treatment
It’s no secret that I’ve been trying to grow my hair out. I miss my long flowing locks, which is why I’ve been experimenting with new products to potentially speed up the process. I read good things about this treatment so I decided to give it a try. It’s supposed to nurture your follicles by conditioning and strengthening from within, encouraging quicker growth and also preventing hair loss.
I’ve been playing around with different products so I’m not sure what’s responsible for what, but I do know that my mane’s significantly softer and shinier, and it’s been growing at a nice rate. I’ve purchased this twice over the last few weeks, and I use a quarter size amount daily.
I massage it into my scalp and leave it in for at least 5 minutes. The label says to use an egg-size amount, but I think that’s excessive. Plus, you’d run out of product after 4 uses which is no bueno because this isn’t exactly cheap! It’s $16.99 for a fairly small container, but I do think it’s worth the money. I’m currently in the process of testing out some other items as well so I’ll make sure to keep you updated.
Avashine Lip Sleep Mask
I’ve been using this sleep mask for the last few months, but I haven’t blogged about it yet so I’m just gonna include it in my July roundup. During the day, I slather my lips with Pure Planet chapstick as mentioned above, but I always make sure to wear a thin layer of this at night before I hop into bed.
It provides serious hydration with it’s active collagen peptide formula, renewing lip and skin tissue while you catch up on z’s. It goes on silky smooth, and I guarantee that you’ll wake up with baby soft lips. This is a definite must try for both men and women who deal with dry puckers on the regular. It’s priced at $12.99 which isn’t super affordable per se, but a little goes a long way so this jar should last you a good amount of time.
Olay Regenerist Whip Face Moisturizer SPF 25
There’s a reason why I chose to be an Olay brand ambassador – it’s because I love their products, and I always will. For those of you looking for an incredible sunscreen, I highly recommend this product. I recently upgraded from their SPF 15 because I felt like I needed more coverage. Sun damage is very real, and there’s no better treatment than preventative treatment.
My skin tends to be on the drier side so this cream’s perfect for me in the AM. It’s thick and rich but absorbs quickly! It leaves my skin beautifully hydrated, providing a lovely base for whatever I decide to do – makeup or no makeup, that is the question.
This product’s formulated with advanced Amino-Peptide Complex II, actively working to improve elasticity and firm skin for a lifted look while diminishing the look of fine lines and wrinkles. It possesses innovative tech that transforms the product from cream to liquid on skin delivering potent ingredients in an ultra lightweight form. The texture’s actually pretty magical, and it’s a great moisturizing sunscreen that you can use all year round.
Alright friends, I hope you enjoyed reading my latest beauty post. Keep an eye out for more coming your way soon! I promise to get my August favorites out in a more timely fashion, and in the meantime, click on the respective tabs to see more on skincare, hair and/or beauty. Until next time, loves!
Lip care is very essential. Lip scrub and balm are very nice.
