I rarely work with new photographers because I’m so strapped on time, but when I saw Dwayne’s work on instagram, I knew I wanted to collaborate. He has a distinct style that I love, and his photos low key look like paintings. There’s just something really special about them.
We shot 3 looks together: a “boss bitch” outfit you’ll see soonish, this transitional fall ensemble and the halloween costume I shared earlier this week. My amazing friend Valerie Hammer generously agreed to do my hair and makeup for the occasion. She’s easily the best makeup artist I know. In fact, I’m actually thinking about taking lessons with her because I’d like to improve my skills.
The last time we worked together, she smoked my eyes out and it was ahmaaaaazing. She’s never done a true red on me before though so she decided to do a structured brow with dramatic lashes and a bold lip. I didn’t think I could pull off the color, but honestly, Val could make a brick wall look beautiful.
I literally LIVE in this Free People bralette (white + so many other colors), and I’ve worn this Zara skort a bunch, BUT my cardigan is new. I got it from Red Dress Boutique not too long ago, and I absolutely love the design.
It’s only $44, and it’s perfect for fall. Think open front, extended length, two functional front pockets and a double side slit detail. I’m wearing a size medium, and it fits me perfectly. And I love that it’s great for both work, play and [insert occasion of choice].
Alright friends, that all for today. I hope you enjoyed browsing highlights from my latest shoot. I’m crazy tired so I’m going to turn in early, but remember to check back soon. I update this blog every Monday, Thursday and Saturday so there’s always something new to see. Until then, click here to see more casual outfit inspo.
WOW!! That is all that needs to be said.
