Who’s excited to see shots from my latest shoot with none other than the amazing Sandross Alim? If you caught my last quarantine adventures post, you know that I met up with him to photograph some looks together at Tysons. Suffice it to say, I’m beyond thrilled with how everything turned out.
For today’s look, I’m wearing a fabulous floral print dress from Red Dress Boutique. Yes, I’m obsessed with their clothing, and no, I’m not sorry. This particular design comes with a rope tie belt which is great because it allows me to accent the small of my waist, while also controlling the length of the dress.
The godet skirt’s very flowy, and the piece oozes feminine elegance. Although expensive, it’s great for all occasions because it’s easy to dress up and down. So, if you think about it, it’s not that expensive if you’re considering cost per wear.
My look-of-the-day’s not dressy, but at the same time, it’s not totally casual either. I paired this number with my current favorite wedges and passed on jewelry because I thought these shoes were bold enough. I think I may have told you guys this, but I purchased them in Korea last year.
I was at Namdaemun Market, and I copped them for $7. They were originally $30, but it’s common practice to haggle there so I snagged them for a fraction of the price. They’re lighter than air and easily the most comfortable shoes I own. And how cute are these pom poms? Consider me obsessed.
To finish off my look, I accessorized with a fabulous straw hat from Peter Grimm. This is their Borden, and it’s made from 100% Chinese Panama straw. It has a 3 inch wire brim and an elasta-fit comfort band inside the crown allowing it to stretch and fit most men and women. It’s priced at $75 and is designer quality so it’s totally worth the splurge.
I never used to wear hats. I always thought they were stylish, but I didn’t think they suited me. Now I’m all about them, and I’m slowly but surely building my hat collection so expect a post on them all very soon. In the meantime, I’ll be sharing a feature on the 3 Peter Grimm pieces I got so keep an eye out for that.
As always, let me know if you have any questions about today’s look! Feel free to leave me a comment or shoot me an email at info@sensiblestylista.com. For more style inspo, click here and remember to check back soon for new content. Sending you guys all the positive vibes!
