Soooo I purchased this DVF shift dress years ago, and I’m still obsessed with the design. I love wearing it to work because it’s chic, professional and most importantly, comfortable. It’s form flattering without being constricting, which is important to me since I’m particular about fit. I don’t mind a little discomfort if I only need to be out for a bit, but I teach from 8-4PM straight on Saturdays – without a single break, like not even a minute – so comfort is key.
Shift dresses are ideal for work in my opinion. I own so many different designs it’s not even funny. And the best part? They’re so easy to style! Simply throw on a cute pair of shoes and some jewelry and you’re good to go! A neutral work bag makes everything that much simpler since it goes with any and everything. I have several different totes so I have more to choose from, but if you’re looking to invest in a solid work tote, I highly recommend going with something simple like a solid black or beige bag. And don’t ask me why I’m carrying a clutch in this post – I just thought it looked cute with the dress, lol.
Other fabulous shift dresses (all under $75):
Dress: Diane von Furstenberg || Clutch: similar-ish || Shoes: Kate Spade (similar-ish)
I hope you guys enjoyed today’s OOTD! What do you like wearing to work on the regular? Do you have a go-to uniform? And are you a fan of shift dresses or not so much?
