It’s time for another beauty roundup, friends! I hope you’re as excited as I am to learn about four of my current staples. We’re covering everything from personalized beauty products to the best drugstore mascara today so definitely make sure to stick with me until the very end.
1. L’Oreal Paris’ Telescopic Lengthening Mascara ($10)
Unsure which drugstore mascara to get? You can’t go wrong with anything L’Oreal. I’m currently obsessed with their Telescopic lengthening mascara, and I layer it with their Bambi Eye for the ultimate combo of length and volume. With this product, I truly believe that their claims are legit. Extreme length with lashes up to 60% longer? Sounds about right.
Go with carbon black and apply several coats to get the look you want. The applicator’s designed to provide optimal precision, but it’s a little on the flimsy side so you want to make sure you’re careful post-use. Be gentle and make sure both your tube and wand are aligned at a 180 degree angle when you’re done.
In my opinion, L’Oreal’s Telescopic works way better than higher end “designer” mascaras. I’m not sure what the formula contains, but all I know is that you don’t get any flaking or smearing, and your look will last all day long without giving you panda eyes. Click here to purchase, and let me know if you have any questions!
2. Function of Beauty’s Personalized Beauty Products
If you follow me on instagram, you may have see me unbox my customized body wash + lotion set from Function of Beauty. I wasn’t really sure how I’d feel about their line, but I actually really enjoy using their products. They boast clean, science-backed ingredients, and their brand’s 100% vegan, sulfate-, paraben-, and cruelty-free, and sustainability focused.
To order, you take a short and super fun quiz. You start by building your body profile (choose between very dry, dry and balanced), picking a scent (I got lavender, and it’s sublime) & determining it’s strength, naming your product, choosing a color (I went with dye free), and then ordering your size/frequency. You can get a 16oz body lotion and wash for $29.99, and if you agree to subscribe, they’ll ship it to you free of charge.
Although $30 is a bit hefty for body wash and lotion, there’s something really luxurious about it, and I think it’s really cool that they brand it with your name/wording of choice. For those of you looking for a cool gift idea, I think this would be a pretty awesome option!
On top of the aforementioned products, they also sell hair shampoo, conditioner, purple shampoo, hair mist, hair serum, hair masks, and leave-in conditioner. Click here to browse or purchase!
3. GLAMGLOW FlashMud Brightening Treatment Mask ($25)
I’ve tried a lot of face masks and exfoliating treatments in my lifetime, and this item’s by far my favorite. This multi-targeted product gives you quick results, brightening your face and treating dark spots, uneven skin tone and dullness.Use it 2-3 times a week for best results, but please make sure you’re gentle during application. It tells you to rub product into your skin, but it’s really important that you use a light touch otherwise you’ll do more damage than good!
This product is a staple for both me AND my mom so you know that it’s solid. She’s super knowledgeable when it comes to skincare so trust us both when we say this is a must try. I noticed a pretty big difference after my first use so definitely give it go! Click here to purchase, friends.
4. L’Oreal Revive Extraordinary Oil Deep Nourishing Treatment ($6.99)
Yet another L’Oreal product, but hey, if it’s good, it’s good. This leave-in hair treatment hydrates and nourishes with argan oil, leaving your mane soft, shiny and beautiful. This has been a staple in my haircare routine for the last year or so!
I rub in 2-3 pumps post shower (only focusing on the ends) before airdrying or styling to avoid frizz, and it’s helped a lot with split ends and tangling. Plus, it’s only $6.99, and it lasts for so, SO long!
