Not gonna lie, it’s been a minute since I last got my teeth cleaned. I’m usually good about it, but COVID sorta threw my schedule off…a lot. But before I get into details, I want to be fully transparent with y’all and disclose that TEND invited in for a free cleaning. With that said, I’m posting because I genuinely loved the experience.
I went to their new location in Cap Hill, and it was spa-like for real. Checking in was a breeze, and they took my temperature to ensure the safety of their patients and staff. Afterwards, they handed me an adorable green goodie bag with a toothbrush and some toothpaste so I could either freshen up or leave with swag.
TEND was impeccably clean, which is a huge compliment coming from me because I’m a germaphobe with OCD. I got a full dental exam which included x-rays, an in-depth cleaning, and an oral exam.
My appointment started off with 20 (or so) x-rays. It was a ton, but they were efficient, and I’d much rather they be thorough than not. The cleaning was probably the best I’ve ever had. My dental hygienist – shoutout to Ebony – was really wonderful. It took her a while to get everything nice and clean, but my mouth felt so much better afterwards! It all just felt lighter, and she did a great job dealing with my built-in retainers.
The space was great, and they gave me a pair of stylish sunglasses to shield my eyes! There was a nice welcome screen with my name – I’m a sucker for personalization – and they had a tv attached to the ceiling so I could watch whatever I wanted. It was hooked up to Netflix so I threw on a show of my choice (with a remote) and listened with wireless headphones.
The appointment was about 1-1.5 hours long because my teeth were on the not-so-clean side, but I have a feeling it’ll be much less intensive the next time I go. My dentist came in at the very end to give me a full check up, and I was relieved to hear that everything looked good. He walked me through my x-rays and asked if I had any additional questions. Super friendly and super professional. What’s not to love?
