I was SO excited today because I walked outside, and it actually felt like fall! The DMV area has like 20 false falls though so I’m not sure this is for real, but let’s hope so because I’m sick of the sweltering heat. Autumn’s easily my favorite season, but it tends to last for a week max, lol. Am I right or am I right?
So, we’re going to touch on transitional clothing a bit today. And by the way, this is shoot #2 photographed in collaboration with Joseph Tran and Valerie Hammer. I’m pumped to share everything with you guys, but today will be very photo heavy so hopefully you’re down to see some dope images.
My idea of fall clothing in a nutshell: my favorite summer outfit + boots instead of sandals and chunky knits instead of lightweight outerwear. It’s really that simple, at least for me.
I do tend to wear darker colors in Fall/Winter though! Try it though – pair your warmer cardigans/jackets with your favorite warm weather looks and see how they work! Chances are, you’ll look cute AF. Add over-the-knee boots? Forget about it.
For today’s look, I’m wearing one of my go-to summer skorts. I got this mini from Zara way back in the day, and I paired it with a cute shirt that I got from ASOS. I love the high-waisted skirt + crop top combo so naturally, I had to make it work for fall.
To make it fall-friendly, I did 3 things. I threw one of my new chunky knits, wore my favorite suede over-the-knee boots, and then finished off my ensemble with a matching hat. BOOM! So easy, so comfortable and so cute. What do you guys think of this look? Let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment below, and make sure you stay tuned for more content coming your way.
